nVent RackChiller Rear Door Cooler

The RackChiller Rear Door Cooler (RDC) Heat Exchanger is designed to handle high heat load cooling needs within high-density servers, computing, and storage racks. The RDC is mounted as a separate rear door with an additional frame, allowing it to be retrofitted to existing racks. It removes heat generated by the rack equipment via an air-to-liquid heat exchanger, transferring it into the facility’s water circuit without adding heat to the IT room. Door-mounted fans assist with airflow for the IT equipment, overcoming coil impedance. The integrated controller adjusts water flow to maintain a consistent supply air temperature and regulates fan speed to maintain a configurable pressure differential between the rack and the IT room. The system is fully integrated within a perforated door framed aesthetically, with protective covers to isolate the liquid source and cooling loop from the rack-mounted equipment.
